The races are just over 5 weeks away and the organizers are hard at work putting the following touches in place.
For the first time in the history of the ITU Duathlon World Championships team relay world championships events will be held in the elite and junior categories as part of the official program. Teams of 3 athletes (u23 or junior athletes can join the elite team) where each member will complete a short duathlon on Sunday afternoon. When the first athlete will finish the whole mini duathlon, the second will start and then the third.
The classification of the teams will be determined by the third athletes crossing the finish line. The course maps and video course tour are available on the event website. National Federations are reminded to enter their teams on the ITU website (www.triathlon.org) as soon as possible. Event program can be found at there as well.
