Representatives from World Triathlon’s Championship Series, Multisport Championships, Para Series, World Cups and Executive Board will be present, including Sustainability Commission Chair Leslie Buchanan.
“Triathlon has always been a sport deeply connected to nature, and with that connection comes responsibility. This conference is an opportunity for us to come together, learn from each other and commit to practical steps that will ensure our events, our athletes and our communities can thrive in a more sustainable future. The conference here in Tongyeong is the perfect setting to accelerate that collective effort,' said Leslie Buchanan, Chair of the World Triathlon Sustainability Commission.
“Our goal is to empower every event, every organiser and every National Federation with the tools and knowledge they need to take meaningful action. Sustainability isn’t a separate add on, it’s integral to how our sport operates and grows. The conference here in Tongyeong provides a unique platform for us to turn strategy into real, measurable impact across the global triathlon community,' said Jen Cerullo, Head of Sustainability at World Triathlon.
