Europe Triathlon Championships' 2027 date confirmed

Following the announcement in December confirming Austria as the host of the 2027 Europe Triathlon Championships, Europe Triathlon can today confirm that the event will take place in Kitzbühel from 11–13 June 2027.

The three-day championship will bring together Europe’s leading triathletes in one of the sport’s most picturesque destinations, with athletes from across the continent set to compete against the stunning backdrop of the Austrian Alps.

The ceremonial handover of the Europe Triathlon flag took place on Sunday evening in Tarragona following the conclusion of the Europe Triathlon Championships.

Spain’s Jorge García officially presented the flag to Austrian Triathlon President Walter Zettinig, marking the transition to the next host nation. The handover was supported by Spanish para triathlete Eva María Moral Pedrero and Austrian para triathlete Thomas Fruehwirth.

Renowned as one of alpine skiing’s most iconic destinations, Kitzbühel is home to the legendary Hahnenkamm Race, widely regarded as one of the most prestigious events on the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup calendar.

The city previously staged a highly successful Europe Triathlon Championships in 2014 and 2017 and will be aiming to build on that legacy in 2027 and marking the third time hosting the championships.
