Los norteamericanos Porter Middaugh y Joy Gill se consagraron campeones en las categorías Elite de la Copa Panamericana de Triatlón disputada el pasado fin de semana en Magog, Canadá.
En la división Elite masculina, el joven Porter Middaugh cruzó la meta en primer lugar con un tiempo de 55 minutos y 31 segundos, logrando así la medalla de oro. El canadiense Liam Donnelly finalizó segundo, mientras que el podio lo completó el también estadounidense Braxton Legg.
En la categoría Elite femenina, la victoria fue para Joy Gill, quien se llevó el oro tras completar el recorrido en 1 hora, 2 minutos y 10 segundos. La atleta de Bermudas Erica Hawley fue segunda, y el tercer lugar fue para la estadounidense Naomi Ruff.
Durante el fin de semana también se realizaron competencias de paratriatlón, donde se destacaron Joshua Landmann (Gran Bretaña), ganador en PTWC Men, y Lauren Parker (Australia), vencedora en PTWC Women.

Team USA dominates at the Americas Triathlon Cup Magog 2025
Porter Middaugh and Joy Gill of the United States claimed victory in the Elite categories at the Americas Triathlon Cup Magog, held this past weekend in Magog, Canada.
In the Elite Men’s race, young talent Porter Middaugh took the win with a finishing time of 55 minutes and 31 seconds. Liam Donnelly of Canada secured second place, while Braxton Legg, also from the USA, rounded out the podium in third.
In the Elite Women’s race, Joy Gill was crowned champion after completing the course in 1 hour, 2 minutes and 10 seconds. Erica Hawley of Bermuda finished second, and Naomi Ruff of the USA took third place.
The weekend also featured Paratriathlon races, where Joshua Landmann (Great Britain) won the PTWC Men category and Lauren Parker (Australia) claimed the title in PTWC Women.
