Melilla will once again host a top-level international triathlon competition

Melilla, 7 October 2025 – The Europe Triathlon Federation and the Spanish Triathlon Federation, in collaboration with the Directorate General for Sports Policy of the Autonomous City of Melilla, have officially announced that the city will host a new edition of the Europe Triathlon Youth Championships on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026.

Following the success of this year’s event — the European Elite and Junior Championships at sprint distance, which brought together the best triathletes from across Europe — Melilla reaffirms its commitment to the sport and to promoting inclusive and grassroots triathlon.

Melilla’s exceptional setting, privileged climate, and unique sporting conditions once again guarantee an outstanding experience for both participants and supporters. The 2026 Europe Triathlon Youth Championships will once again place Melilla on the international triathlon map, strengthening its reputation as a sporting, welcoming, and vibrant city.
