Estados Unidos dominó la Copa Panamericana y Centroamericana de Triatlón en Punta Cana
Punta Cana fue el escenario de la reciente Copa Panamericana y Centroamericana de Triatlón, que tuvo lugar el pasado fin de semana. En una destacada actuación, triatletas de Estados Unidos fueron los ganadores las medallas de oro y plata en ambas categorías Elite, consolidando su dominio en la competencia. Por su parte, Canadá también tuvo una participación notable al asegurar las medallas de bronce en las dos principales divisiones, completando así los podios de este campeonato.
En la categoría masculina Elite Men, Sullivan Middaugh fue el ganador de la jornada, el norteamericano se hizo de la medalla de oro luego de pasar primero por la línea de llegada a los 00:54:54 de carrera. En segunda ubicación, se posicionó su compatriota Reese Vannerson quién ganó la medalla de plata. Para cerrar el podio, el canadiense Pavlos Antoniandes se colocó en el tercer lugar y se quedó con el bronce.
Con respecto a la división femenina Elite Women, Danielle Orie de Estados Unidos se consagró campeona y ganó la medalla de oro luego de completar la prueba en un tiempo de 1:00:40. En segundo lugar se ubicó Eleanor Lawler, también de Estados Unidos y en tercer lugar finalizó la triatleta de Canadá, Dominika Jamnicky.
Con los resultados mencionados, se cierra una nueva Copa Panamericana y Centroamericana del triatlón de máximo nivel en Punta Cana. Felicitaciones a los ganadores y a todos los triatletas que participaron en este campeonato, demostrando una vez más el alto nivel de competencia en la región.

The United States Americas Triathlon Cup and Central America Caribbean Championships Punta Cana
Punta Cana was the setting for the recent Pan American and Central American Triathlon Cup, which took place last weekend. In an outstanding performance, U.S. triathletes won the gold and silver medals in both Elite categories, solidifying their dominance in the competition. Meanwhile, Canada also had a notable participation, securing bronze medals in the two main divisions, thus completing the podiums of this championship.
In the Elite Men’s category, Sullivan Middaugh was the winner of the day, with the American crossing the finish line first in a time of 00:54:54 to claim the gold medal. His compatriot Reese Vannerson finished second, earning the silver medal. Closing the podium, Canadian Pavlos Antoniandes placed third and took home the bronze.
In the Elite Women’s division, Danielle Orie of the United States was crowned champion, winning the gold medal after completing the race in 1:00:40. Eleanor Lawler, also from the United States, finished in second place, while Canadian triathlete Dominika Jamnicky finished third.
