Durante el fin de semana se llevó a cabo la Copa Panamericana y el Campeonato Sudamericano de Triatlón en la localidad de Piedra Roja, ubicada en Colina, Chile.
El torneo contó con la presencia de numerosos triatletas de toda la región, compitiendo en diversas categorías, desde las principales Elite, hasta Juveniles, Age Group, Team Relay y Paratriatlón.
Los grandes campeones de la jornada fueron Manoel Messias de Brasil y la colombiana Carolina Velásquez, quienes se quedaron con las medallas de oro en las categorías Elite.
El brasileño Manoel Messias cruzó primero la línea de meta con un tiempo de 53 minutos y 54 segundos, coronándose campeón en Elite Men. En la segunda y tercera posición se ubicaron los chilenos Diego Moya y Andree Buc, respectivamente.
Por su parte, en la división femenina Elite Women, Carolina Velásquez de Colombia, se llevó el primer lugar al completar la prueba en 1 hora y 38 segundos. La segunda posición fue para Joy Gil de Estados Unidos, y cerró el podio Rosa Elena Martínez de Venezuela.
En la prueba por equipos Mixed Relay, la victoria fue para los anfitriones: el seleccionado chileno finalizó primero con una marca de 1:19:21, seguido por Ecuador en segundo lugar y Brasil en tercero.
También se llevaron a cabo carreras en las categorías Junior, Youth y Paratriatlón. (Los resultados completos de cada división pueden consultarse haciendo click aquí).
El gran evento concluyó con un medallero general liderado por Chile, seguido por Brasil y Ecuador en la tercera posición. En total, se repartieron 25 medallas entre todas las divisiones, y una vez más se vivió una verdadera fiesta de triatlón de altísimo nivel y gran emoción.

2025 Americas Triathlon Cup & South Americas Triathlon Championships Colina
This past weekend, the Pan American Cup and South American Triathlon Championships took place in Piedra Roja, located in Colina, Chile.
The event brought together a large number of triathletes from across the region, competing in various divisions including Elite, Junior, Youth, Age Group, Mixed Relay, and Paratriathlon.
The standout champions of the weekend were Manoel Messias from Brazil and Carolina Velasquez from Colombia, who claimed gold in the Elite categories.
Messias crossed the finish line first with a time of 53 minutes and 54 seconds, securing the men’s Elite title. Chilean athletes Diego Moya and Andree Buc completed the podium in second and third place, respectively.
In the Elite Women’s division, Carolina Velasquez took the top spot, finishing in 1 hour and 38 seconds. Joy Gil from the United States earned silver, while Rosa Elena Martínez of Venezuela took bronze.
In the Mixed Relay event, the host nation came out on top. Team Chile finished first with a time of 1:19:21, followed by Ecuador in second and Brazil in third.
