On 24th and 25th of October, in Batumi, Georgia, ETU organized Combo Technical
Course with participation of delegates from National Triathlon Federation of Georgia
and Armenian Triathlon Federation. The course facilitators were Milos Petelin (SLO)
and Alpar Nagy (HUN). This Combo course was basic level and it was divided into 2
parts: one part was for Coaches training and the other one for Technical officials
training.
This training was a great opportunity for Armenian Triathlon Federation to get
closer look on rules and procedures that are important for triathletes’ trainings.
Coaching participants obtained basic and very useful skills and knowledge for each
discipline of triathlon. Trainers were very helpful as they included bot theoretical and
practical parts for us. At the end of the trainings, both groups shared their skills in a test
lesson, which was a simulation game for triathlon.
Besides, the informative part of the course, the training gave a networking
opportunity not only for Armenians and for Georgians, but also for the Official
facilitators.
It was important for Armenian Federation to get the insight look of triathlon
procedures from professionals like Milos Petelin and Alpar Nagy.
The training lasted for 2 days and those 2 days gave us real inspiration for
pushing triathlon in Armenia. Thanks to ETU and especially to the facilitators, who were
really very effective and inspiring.
