The Russian team delivered a brilliant performance in Samarkand Para Cup! On April 25 in Samarkand, Athletes raced the sprint distance: 750m of swimming, 19m of cycling, and 5m of running.

The biggest and most long-awaited moment was that our Para Athletes competed under the National Flag.

The team is now returning home with a rich haul of 11 medals. 

🥇Gold: Semen Radaev, Andrey Toltstikov, Anna Plotnikova, Irina Grazhdanova, and Vasilii Egorov.

🥈Silver: Aleksandr Yalchik, Viktor Chebotarev, Evgenia Koroleva, and Veronika Gabitova.

🥉Bronze: Aleksandr Konyshev, as well as the duo of Andrey Bukov and Igor Polyanskiy.

The Head of the Russian Triathlon Federation, Ksenia Shoygu, commented on the team’s success:
“I am very happy that we returned with our Flag and Anthem. It is truly wonderful to see our Athletes in uniform. I’m glad that almost everyone came home with medals. We won five gold medals, and it means a lot for our Team. Many thanks to the organizers and to the Uzbekistan Triathlon Federation for an incredibly beautiful event and outstanding organization.”
