Biography

Lauren Parker is a professional para-athlete currently representing Australia in both Para-Triathlon and Para-Cycling.
Australia’s Lauren Parker suffered a serious accident whilst out training for Ironman triathlon in April 2017. A damaged spinal cord made her turn to para-triathlon, and within months her determination to return to racing saw her take the Commonwealth Games bronze in the PTWC category just 11 months after her accident.. 18 months later Lauren became 2019 IRU Para World Champion in Lausanne, Switzerland and in 2021 defended this title and become 2x ITU Para world Champion.

Lauren competed at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games and won a silver medal.

Lauren also is currently 4x world champion in Para-Triathlon, World Champion in he para-cycling time time trial event, 70.3 Ironman world champion in the handcycle category, and 2x Ironman world champion in the handcycle category.

Lauren’s goal for 2024 is the qualify for the Paralympics in Paris for both the triathlon event and road cycling events (Time Trial & Road Race).. and of course to bring home 3 gold medals.
