Esta noche en el estadio de Changping tuvo lugar la espectacular ceremonia de apertura de la Gran Final de la Serie de Campeonatos Mundiales de Triatlón ITU Dextro Energy. Atletas de grupos por edades, para triatletas, sus familiares y amigos se deleitaron con una noche plena de cultura y actuación china. Los campeones olímpicos Emma Snowsill y Jan Frodeno se dirigieron a la audiencia y se refirieron al modo en que Beijing influyó en sus carreras, ya que es aquí donde recibieron el oro Olímpico. La Presidente de ITU Marisol casado agradeció al Comité Organizativo Local por su gran tarea y hospitalidad.
