2023 World Triathlon Age-Group Championships: Day Two

At 8,30am local time in Pontevedra today, the 2023 World Triathlon Age-Group Standard-Distance Triathlon Championships will commence, followed by the 2023 World Triathlon Age Groups Standard Distance Aquabike Championships  at 10.30am.

Over 1,200 athletes will compete for world title and personal bests in the Age-Group Standard-Distance World Championships while nearly 400 triathletes will line up for glory in the Aquabike World Championships.

Conditions are perfect for the Age-Group race day. The sun is shining, the air is balmy and the water temperature is 17.8C.

18 year’s old Pierre Le Cheminant, from Great Britain, is the first Age Group Standard Distance World Champion, also the first crowned world champion on the day here in Pontevedra.

And Phoebe Kelly, 27 year old female from Australia, is the first woman to cross the finish line this morning in Pontevedra. Congratulations!
