Belfast to Derry

From Belfast International Airport (Aldergrove, BFS)

- Airport bus service 109A connects the airport to Antrim rail station, where you can pick up the Belfast–Derry~Londonderry train line — check Translink's Airport Services (https://www.translink.co.uk/using-translink/airport-services) page for the current bus link and combined ticketing.

- Alternatively, get into Belfast (via the 109A/Airport Express) and pick up a direct Goldliner coach (route 212) to Derry — Belfast – Derry~Londonderry Goldliner/212 timetable (https://www.translink.co.uk/timetables?routeHashCode=c2398c13e023402faa7f1e40b34f414cce163d0e808697590d5e858695c4a419&transportMode=Bus).

- Taxi/private transfer or hire car direct from the airport (~1 hour) — no single official booking link, best compared via local taxi firms or a rental site at time of travel.

From George Best Belfast City Airport (BHD)

- Get into Belfast city centre (Belfast Grand Central station), then take either:

- The train on the Belfast–Derry line (hourly service, ~2 hrs 20 min) — Belfast–Derry line overview (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belfast%E2%80%93Derry_line), current times via Translink (https://www.translink.co.uk).

Dublin Airport to Derry - Transport Options

1. Direct Coach – Aircoach 705X – RECOMMENDED
Non-stop express coach direct from Dublin Airport (Terminals 1 & 2) to Foyleside Coach Park, Derry city centre.
- Journey time: approx. 3 hours 15 mins
- Frequency: up to 22 services daily
- Fares: from €20/£19 one-way
- Amenities: free WiFi, reclining seats, on-board toilet, charging points

2. Self-Drive / Car Hire
Rental desks located in the arrivals area at Dublin Airport (Hertz, Europcar, Enterprise, Avis, etc.). Drive via the M1/A5 route.
- Journey time: approx. 2 hrs 45 mins – 3 hours
- Note: driving is on the left in both jurisdictions; confirm cross-border rental terms with the hire company

3. Train + Bus (Translink/Iarnród Éireann) – via Belfast
More scenic but involves two changes.
- Route: Dublin Airport → Dublin City (bus/taxi to Connolly Station) → Enterprise train to Belfast → connecting Translink train/Goldliner coach to Derry
- Journey time: approx. 5–6 hours total (including connections)
