EVENT INFORMATION

This event is organized by Triathlon Philippines (TriPhil) in partnership with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA). Sanctioned by Asia Triathlon and World Triathlon (WT). The race starts and ends at Waterfront Road in Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

URGENT NOTE : As of September 3, conditions in Subic Bay following the prolonged heavy rains has adversely affected water visibility, and resulted in significant debris in the swim area. There is no sign that these conditions will improve and concerns over athlete safety has led the team to decided to switch to a duathlon of 2.5km 1st run, 20km bike and 5km 2nd run. Although this is a very unfortunate decision, we appreciate your cooperation.

• Run 1: 5km (4 laps)

• Bike: 20Km. (3 laps)

• Run: 2.5km (2 laps)

Note: Open only to athletes entered by their National Federations (NF) through World Triathlon. There are nine sport classes for both men and women in paratriathlon that compete in six medal events:

• PTWC 1

• PTWC 2

• PTS 2

• PTS 3

• PTS 4

• PTS 5

• PTVI 1

• PTVI 2

• PTVI 3

Both PTWC 1 and PTWC 2 classes compete in the same PTWC Medal Event. All the ambulant classes (PTS2-PTS5) compete in their own medal event and the three visual impaired classes (PTVI1, PTVI2 and PTVI3) compete in the PTVI medal event.
