One athlete, three sports!
Why just compete in one sport, when you could compete in three all at once! Triathlon is an exciting multi-discipline sport involving a continuous race over various distances in the three disciplines that starts with swimming, transitions over to biking and ends with running across the finish line!
Triathlon is for all ages, gender and skill levels, so whether you are a beginner, or you have been competing your whole life, there is no better sport to Tri!
Age-Group racing is where you will get your start! Share the start line with athletes just like you (we like to call them World Triathletes), who are similar in age and gender and have a passion for competing…but don’t worry about experience, triathlon may be an individual sport, but when it comes to encouragement to cross the finish line, everyone is on the same team!

Joining a club is an excellent way to get more involved in triathlon. Many clubs cater to all levels of ability and experience and either have their own coach or access to one.
Apart from the coaching and camaraderie, being a club member also entitles you to club competitions and allows you to find new training partners. Need to find a club in your area? Find you National Federation
Triathletes fit into one of two categories:
1. Elite: professional triathletes who compete at an international level
2. Age-Group: triathletes who are non-professional. The Age-Group system allows you to compete against other triathlon entrants of the same age (within a five year band) and gender. Racing as an Age-Grouper also makes you a World Triathlete.
