The penultimate race of the regular season saw 2024 World and Olympic Champion Cassandre Beaugrand chasing a fourth consecutive win for the first time in her career that would guarantee her the maximum 4000 points and the top spot on the rankings. Series leader Beth Potter has her own designs on the title and relished a return to the Olympic distance, defending champion Lisa Tertsch, Roksana Slupek, Gwen Jorgensen and China's own Anqi Huang were also in form and hunting Series and Olympic points.
