Triathlon Coach

Duties

Reporting to Head Triathlon Coach, the Assistant Triathlon Coach will be responsible for the following duties:

{exp:list_maker}To design, plan and coordinate training and competitive programs for u23 triathletes in Hong Kong;
To oversee, design and administer all matters relating to the training of the u23 programs;
To accompany and train triathletes during overseas training and competitions, and be responsible for the administrative matters such as logistics, accommodation, expenditure reports etc;
To maintain a record of individual training data;
To coach elite squads when specified by Head Coach;
To evaluate progress of the triathletes against the training programs and define future targets with Head Coach;
To provide lectures on Hong Kong Triathlon Association Coaching Accreditation Program courses when required;
To assist in the preparation of teaching materials for lectures and seminars;
To enhance the professional image of triathlon; and
To work with the Sports Medicine, Sports Science, and Strength & Conditioning Departments when required.{/exp:list_maker}

Requirements

{exp:list_maker}A university degree in sports or a relevant discipline;
Holder of Level 2 Triathlon Coaching Certificate issued by respective National Sports Association or ITU;
A minimum of 5 years’ triathlon coaching experience;
Sound knowledge of swimming technique and designing swimming programs is essential;
Able to cycle with junior squads; and
Excellent command of spoken and written English.{/exp:list_maker}

Appointment will be initially a 6 months to 1 year temporary contract and depending on November’s Asian Game result may extend to a 2 years’ fixed term contract. We offer attractive remunerations including a good salary with a maximum up HK$500,000 for a year, free round trip flight by end of employment and etc.
