37 years ago, Devonport hosted the first triathlon. There are not many events with such a long history. In 2023 we are ready to welcome athletes from all around the world back in Tasmania. The event has a great atmosphere, tough course at the waterfront and big support of local community. Located on the North West Coast of Tasmania along side the Mersey River and the Bass Strait coast, Devonport enjoys river, ocean and mountain views and is close to some of Tasmania’s best natural places, including stunning Cradle Mountain. 2023 Devonport OTU Sprint Championship & Oceania Cup will run in conjunction with ITU World Paratriathlon Series and Australian Schools Championships.

Please be aware that Devonport airport operates mainly smaller planes and it will be an issue travelling with large sporting equipment after Wednesday of the week of competition.

Launceston Airport - for more details visit http://www.launcestonairport.com.au
Launceston operates larger planes and also Virgin Australia Cargo. This airport is about 1 hour drive from Devonport.
