About the 2024 Aqaba Asia Triathlon – World Triathlon Youth Development Camp:
This project was initially planned for 2023 as a pilot project to 2024.

Target Audience:
- Athletes: 13-15 YO from CAT 2, 3A & 3B NFs
- Coaches: Preferably holders of World Triathlon L1 or L2 Certificate from CAT 2, 3A & 3B NFs and work with youth in their country.

National Federation’s Roles & Responsibilities:
- Nominate 1 male & 1 female athlete who show potential to qualify for the YOG and are committed to the NF’s plan.
- Nominate 1 coach who will lead the training program for those athletes and will show commitment to the program at least until the end of 2026.
- NFs must show commitment to the program by actively participating in relevant events which will eventually lead to qualifying for the YOG 2026 Dakar.

What will be provided for camp participants:
- Accommodation on full board basis for 1 male and 1 female athlete and 1 coach. (TWN shared rooms).
- Airport transportation from King Hussein International Airport – Aqaba.
- World Triathlon Head Coach.
- Access to World Triathlon Education & Knowledge HUB.
- Access to training facilities.
- Accommodation including 3 meals will be covered from 27 Oct – 3 Nov 2024 (7 nights) for camp participants.

Schedule:
- 27 Oct 2024: Arrival for everyone
- 28 Oct - 02 Nov 2024: Camp and race (on 1-2 Nov)
- 03 Nov 2024: Departure
