Michelle Cooper
President Oceania Triathlon (elected until 2024)
A key theme of Michelle’s career has been customer-centred organisational enhancements across the areas of member acquisition and retention, marketing and communications, event management and professional development. With a focus on change management through the development of high performing teams and clearly demonstrated value propositions, Michelle is an experienced C-suite leader with a long history in health, adult education, sport and utilities.
Leading teams through national mergers and re-structuring federations into national entities on multiple occasions has been underpinned by a strong desire to ensure value for internal and external stakeholders.
Michelle has previously held positions on Brisbane City Council’s Economic Development Board, the Electrical Safety Board’s Education Committee and has been re-appointed to the Sports Ministers Advisory Committee.
Michelle also held the position of Independent Director on the Triathlon Queensland board, was elected to the Triathlon Australia board in 2014 and again in 2016 before being elected as the first female President in 2018.
